Cassata Cake

Served regularly at the neighboring La Medusa, this cake features alternating layers of marsala-brushed white cake and sweetened ricotta filling encased in almond paste. Beautifully decorated.

Our cupcakes are made in the same yummy varieties as our House Cakes, with varying availability. We are happy to take your special orders with 2-days notice.

Pie Dough

Why get your Pie Crusts from the freezer aisle when you can buy our housemade, all-butter, flakey pie dough? This is exactly the same dough we use at the bakery for our pies and tarts. One frozen (2-pound) block is enough for one beautiful double-crusted pie or two 10-inch tarts..

We are happy to write a short personal message (in chocolate) on your cake for a fee of $2.50 per cake. Words only please.  Advance notice is appreciated.

The FDA would like us to point out that all items baked on our premises may contain traces of walnuts, pecans, pistachios, hazelnuts, milk, eggs, peanuts, wheat and soy.

For maximum enjoyment, please be sure to serve your cakes and cupcakes at room temperature.

 

DONATION REQUESTS

We are frequently asked to donate Cakes for community fundraising events, and we are quite happy to help out.  Our policy is to donate one (9-inch) Carrot Cake, or one (9-inch) House Chocolate Cake (or a gift certificate for the same products), per event.  We accept requests up to one year in advance and donations are generally guaranteed on a first-come-first-served basis until we reach our monthly maximum.  All requests are considered in our monthly staff meetings.  Priority is given to local (Columbia City and the South Seattle area) organizations, with events related to health, education, and seniors usually being bumped to the top of the list.

If you would like to make a donation request please do so in writing.  Requests can be mailed to the bakery (4865 Rainier Ave So, Seattle 98118), emailed to us at andrew@columbiacitybakery.com, or faxed to our office at 206-723-1352.
