Columbia City Bakery opened its doors in 2005 and has been providing Seattleites and out of town visitors with freshly made breads, pastries, cakes, sandwiches and breakfast ever since. Evan Andres, the bakery’s founder and owner, is a 4-time Outstanding Baker semifinalist for the James Beard Award and has cultivated an award-winning baguette.

While our store front appears small, our operation is anything but. We provide our bread on a daily basis to restaurants and coffee shops all around Seattle and seasonally participate in Farmer’s Markets in Columbia City, Capitol Hill, Queen Anne and Renton.  Our retail staff stays busy, 7 days a week, serving our handmade products while also providing coffee, tea and espresso beverages to new and loyal customers alike, with lines sometimes spilling out the front door.

Our sole location in historic Columbia City has helped us stay a caring and intimate member of the community and we are proud to call Columbia City our home. We are a gathering space for all persons and are proud to provide a cozy, warm (quite literally), and welcoming atmosphere that is synonymous to our products.
